In addition to all the beautiful nature that enhances our everyday life here in Glommersbygden, there are also a lot of attractions that you should not miss when you come to visit here. On this page, we have listed all the museums and other places that we think you should take a look at.
Hängengården
Local history museum in Glommersträsk
Hängengården is located in the middle of the village and offers a unique 19th century setting. The manor house dates from 1804 and was moved to its current location, “Haingna”, in 1810. The museum has almost 3000 objects collected in the 12 buildings, but the real rarity is the authentic schoolroom from 1843.

The Berry house
Berry museum in Glommersträsk
Sweden's first berry museum, Bärens hus, is located in Glommersträsk, where the history that is so strongly linked to our village has been collected. What today is considered an everyday luxury, being able to go behind the house to fill up the freezer with berries, was from the beginning of the 20th century an important industry that the berry house highlights. Once there, you can also buy the local products from Glommersbär, which are part of the future of berries.
Bärens hus does not have specific opening hours, so if you want to visit, please contact them via their website.

The village became a cultural and nature reserve in 2008. Gallejaur in Arvidsjaur municipality is an exceptionally well-preserved village from the 19th century, where the village's nine farms stand timbered and unpainted surrounded by pastures and hayfields. Here it feels like time has stopped.
Here you can walk on the newly inaugurated (September 3,2023) nature and culture trail which is 1.4 km long. There are exhibitions to view from the village's history and you can also get a guided tour of all the historic farms, each with its own story.
