Parkskolan (school) Glommersträsk
Since 1926, Parkskolan has been a central part of Glommersträsk, but also over time the school has become important for our entire village. Today the school is run from preschool to grade 6 with integrating classes across the grades, i.e. p-3 are taught together, with some exceptions and grades 4-6 are taught together, also with some exceptions for specific subjects.

When it's time for secondary school, the children can go to Arvidsjaur for their schooling, where there is also an upper secondary school with a basic range of courses.
In the same building as the school, there is also childcare at Ängens preschool and also a leisure center. The principal of the preschool is Kristina Boström and she can be reached on: 070-531 23 36
Finnbergs
Finnbergs is a grocery store that really has most things both expected and unexpected. Finnbergs is part of the "Handlarn" chain and has been owned by the village since 2016.
Affären har nyligen genomgått en rejäl uppfräschning samt att byggnaden har utökas med ett Café OCH dessutom expanderat till en delvis digital butik för att utöka servicen ännu mer. Caféet är alltid öppet under affärens normala öppettider men du kan även besöka Caféet vissa kvällar och helger. Se öppettider nedan. Förutom Caféet så erbjuder Finnbergs paketutlämning, spel, är ombud för apotek och systembolag. Utanför affären sitter även en bankomat för dig som behöver ta ut pengar. Inne på affären kan du betala med kort, kontant och swish, butiken är också utrustad med en snabbkassa.

A brand new filling station has just been installed in the village and is located next to the shop Finnbergs. The filling station is run by Skellefteåbränslen and you can pay with Skellefteåbränslekort or debit card.

In Glommersträsk, there are opportunities for home care help if you are in need. Ängsbacka, which is no longer an assisted living facility, offers a safe and quiet environment if you want a home that is easily accessible. You can find Ängsbacka at Ängsvägen 15.

Gula Villan Inn, Glommersträsk
Glommersträsk's Inn can be found on Storgatan 75 and they serve both lunch, a la carte and every other Friday (even weeks) there is a pizza night! In addition to food service, there are also accommodation options here. In the summer, the inn also sells summer flowers in the parking lot.

Outdoor pool Glommersträsk
In the middle of Glommersträsk, the gate is open to the village's outdoor swimming pool, which is run in the summer by GLIF and volunteer labor from villagers.
Opening hours during summer: 10.00-20.00
No fee needs to be paid to swim but you are welcome to make a contribution if you wish. Payment details can be found on GLIF's association page below.
Fire department
In Glommersträsk we have the fantastic privilege of having our own part-time fire department. Glommersträsk's force goes under the Rescue Service in Arvidsjaur and conducts a lot of cooperation in both call-outs and exercises. In Glommersträsk there are 4 different on-call groups, which means that the firefighters have one on-call duty week per month and this on the side of any other work as it is a part-time fire brigade.

Helt care center
Arvidsjaur has a municipal health center with an emergency room, X-ray (not on weekends), childcare center, midwife, district nurse, dental care and much more. If you need to book an appointment at the health center, call 0960-57502, for emergencies call 112 and for advice you can always call 1177.
Library
Inside Parkskolan you will find the village library which is open every Wednesday between 8.30-11.00, here you can sit and read a book on the spot or borrow one to take home where you can sit in peace and quiet with your reading.
Bus
Public transport through Glommersträsk is limited but there are still buses running daily between Glommersträsk and Arvidsjaur. If you want to see what connections there are, you can click on the county traffic website: www.ltnbd.se.
Church
Glommersträsk church belongs to the Church of Sweden and is used for services, baptisms, weddings, concerts, school graduations and the like. In the basement you will find the margareta hall which is available for rent. There are also occasional meetings for those on day release but also open preschool and children's hours.
