The snowmobile association was formed in 1980 with the aim of channeling snowmobiling to a trail system around the villages of Glommersträsk, Moräng and Järvträsk. The association was inactive from 1986-1992 when it was reorganized. The club's name comes from the fact that the mountain Vithatten is located near the trail system.

Construction of the snowmobile cabin near Nyvall began in spring 1996 and was inaugurated at Easter 1997. There is a road to the cabin from Nyvall. The cabin is open to all and the land is leased from Svea Forest. The trail system, which is regularly planed and corded, covers approx. 7 Swedish miles (70km).
