We moved here just because we thought this would be the best place for our children to grow up in, especially because it's so safe and calm here. The school here was also one of the main reasons to why we moved here because I believe that at "Parkskolan" the children are able to grow up becoming confident individuals without being affected from how society tells them to be. You can simply be able to be the one you are since it is a smaller school and there you have the possibility to see the children in a totally different way.

Illien family moved to Glommersbygden 2020
The Illien family settled down in the village Moräng with their dogs and their son Joël where they now are conducting their business with sled dogs and adventures in nature.
The biggest difference between life today compared to five years ago is of course their son Joël, but also that they have a home. - We no longer live in a suitcase. Now we really have a home. When you have been away you come home. That is a big difference compared to earlier when we didn't know where to spend our next season.
Do you need a job?
The security of having a job is truly a dealbreaker, but did you know that the businesses here both now and then searches for new employees? There are haulage companies (trucks and tractors), sawmill, pellet factory, door factory, grocery store, domestic service, part time fire department and also possibilities for work in the school and preschool. Except from this there are also endless possibilities to start your own business in many different areas, or if you're willing to commute approximately 30 minutes you also have great opportunities to apply for a job in Arvidsjaur, Norsjö and Jörn. If your working on a distance Glommersbygden is the perfect spot since it is located vera central between Lycksele, Arjeplog, Skellefteå and Piteå, so depending on what you'r aiming for the possibilities are at least many!

The safety, close to the school, the classmates lives close to the children, close to the grocery store, petrol, close to outdoor possibilities (snowmobile for us). All the friendly people.
